Summer Lesson 12

Change to Large Group Lesson**Instead of parachute and beach ball we will have bubbles.
Change to Small Group Lesson**No Raisins, just use regular snack.
This is the final lesson of the summer quarter. All of our summer teachers are finished teaching this week....thank you so much for serving this summer!!!
Fall teachers begin next week, Sunday, September 7th!!!! We still have a few spots to fill, if you are interested in serving please see Sally or Bridget.
We also have some spots for serving just one Sunday a month as either a preschool or nursery greeter. Being a greeter would require you to come about 15 minutes before the service and stay for about 15 minutes into the service (8:45-9:15 or 10:30-11:00) You can still make it in for the majority of the service if you are able to serve as a greeter in either the preschool or nursery.
Again, thank you all for serving with the preschool this summer! We hope you were blessed in your time spent serving!!

Summer Lesson 11 Jesus and His Friends : Worship Together
9 AM Large Group Teacher Dayna DiSanto
10:45 AM Large Group Teacher Karl Lucas
We have an extended "Worship" time this week, so will be singing extra songs.
Songs: Touch the Sky; God Gives Us Friends; Jesus You Are Here With Me; God is Good; God you are Great
If anyone has any musical instruments they could bring to share with the kids during large group, that would be great. Drums, tamborines, bells....etc.
We also are still in need of some fall teachers. If anyone is interested in continuing to serve in the preschool during the school year, please contact either Sally or Bridget ASAP!!! We can let you know what places to serve are available.
Next Sunday (August 31st) will be the final Sunday for the Summer Serve Sunday School teachers. Sunday, September 7th is the first Sunday of our Fall quarter and the first Sunday for the Fall teachers.

Summer--Lesson 10
Jesus and His Friends Eat Together
9 AM Large Group Teacher--Dayna DiSanto

Songs: Having a Good Time; God Gives Us Friends; God is Number One
The lessons this month are the same lesson repeated. This week is emphasizing Jesus and his friends "eating" together. Last week was "learning" together. So, try to ask questions or start discussions about times the kids "eat" with others.
"There are lots of fun things we can do with our friends...one of the things is to eat with them!! When do you eat with your friends? What kinds of foods do you like to eat with your friends?"
This unit is laying the foundation for the calling of the 12 diciples and Jesus' teaching of them.
Can you believe we are already on Lesson 10 of the Summer!?!? Thank you so much for serving in our preschool at FBC!! The fall session will begin September 7th. Our summer curriculum goes through August 31st.

Key Concept Motions: God [point up] gives us friends [raise both arms high and wave hands]
9am Large Group Teacher--Ashley Elliot
10:45am Large Group Teacher--Kim and Emily Blazek
Songs: Let's Go; God Gives Us Friends; God is Number One
Small Group Teachers: You will need the Lily Pads from Lesson 5 for the game today. They should have been moved to the Lesson 9 folder. If not.....look in your bin!!! The bean bag frogs should also still be in the bin from Lesson 5.
Please make sure you are sending home the coloring page/parent sheets each week. When the child is picked up, try to point out the back side of the coloring page with the parent questions and suggestions to the parent. This will help the parents discuss the lesson with their child at home.
