Fall Lesson 1--The Bible Tells Us About God

Wow...it is hard to believe we are starting the fall quarter already!!! We are so excited to be going into our third year of Preschool Promiseland!!

Small Group leaders....please remember to send a sticker and take home paper home with each child. Also remember to review the "Key Concept" with the children when you are back in the room after large group.

For week one the "Key Concept" is "The Bible is True." The Key Concept Motions are "fold hands in the shape of a book" when saying The Bible and then "nod head" when saying is True.

Also we want to be practicing the "Echo Prayer" in the Large and Small Group. At the end of the large group lesson the teacher will pray. The teacher will say a sentence....small group leaders, please repeat the sentence, leading the children in "echoing" the teacher. Then back in your small group...do the same thing for snack. You do have a printed prayer in your small group manual you can use, or you can use your own simple prayer.

Using the "Echo Prayer" model is a simple and effective tool in helping to teach preschoolers *how* to pray.

If you do not have your binder yet you can stop up at the church during the day and pick one up from the Large Group Teaching Room. They are on the floor under the "Sound Effects" table and are labeled Large or Small Group on the front. Delene in the office will need to unlock the room for you......or pick one up Sunday morning.
